Biography
Dr. Baer grew up in Missouri and West Virginia. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Virginia. He had a one-year internship in Roanoke before completing his ophthalmology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his retina surgery fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Since then, he’s been practicing in Concord, North Carolina.
He now looks forward to serving the people of Eastern Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Dr. Baer has three grown children. He looks forward to making this area home and exploring the local rivers, lakes, and mountains with his girlfriend.
Dr. Baer looks forward to caring for patients at our Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, and Abingdon offices beginning July 1st.
